Pfeiffer Vacuum has made great advances in reducing, recovering and recycling waste and consumables.
We decreased the amount of hazardous waste generated by our facilities while our production output increased. This successful result was attained by using fewer hazardous raw materials and by improving our processes. All of our chemical and lubricant containers received leak containment systems.
Back in 2000, Pfeiffer Vacuum installed a water distillation system to recycle all process water from plant operations. We also recycle scrap metals (by category), paper, cardboard, wood, lubricant and lighting devices.
We are continuing the progress by making efforts to manufacture our products in an environmentally responsible manner by focusing on ways to minimize waste and by recycling when ever possible. We are committed to following RoHS legislation for all new products. All new product developments adhere to corporate energy usage policies.
