Components

There are approximately 180 parts or systems that have been leak tested on a normal car. Leak rates range from 100 Sccm down to 10E-8 Sccs.

Even though pressure decay and mass flow are often used, tightness demands on automotive components are getting heavier to meet EPA regulations and for safety reasons (DOT requirements). These specifications can only be met using tracer gas leak test methods such as helium.

Other application domains :

Automotive Components :

Using Adixen instruments and tracer gas for leak testing automotive components has become a standard within the automotive industry and is today a timesaving alternative to many of the traditional methods.

Examples of components to test are: engines, exhaust lines, hydraulic transfer lines, gas transfer lines, oil coolers, fuel filters, fuel rails, pumps, fluid containers, transmission, shock absorbers.

If tracer gas helium is mandatory, ASM142 Series are suitable products for both sniffing and hard vacuum. A wide range of Modular and stand alone detectors are available to meet both leak rate specification and speed.

Hard Vacuum Helium Leak Detection Solution

If high sensitivity is required, we recommend a hard vacuum test. Leaks as small as 1E -11mbar.l/s can be detected using helium as the test tracer gas.

ASI 30 : Reliable, flexible and high performance solution to be integrated in an industrial testing system.

ASM 142 Series: Versatile , the ASM142 Series can be used as a stand-alone product or integrated in an industrial testing system.
